Obama’s pick Elena Kagan will be confirmed to the U.S. supreme court no matter how many people oppose or approve of her. Although a recent poll was released by Rasmussen and it showed that 41% favor Kagan but 47% disapprove her nomination.

Elena Kegan is pro-abortion and although most Americans mainly the conservatives are pro-life, there really isn’t much anyone can do to stop her. She has been nominated and will be confirmed to the Supreme court.

Kegan has donated many times to pro-abortion groups and has clearly spoken about her stand on that issue. The pro-life movement is working hard trying to block her from entering the U.S. Supreme court as many don’t want her to be confirmed because of her strong support to pro abortion movement.

Here is quote from Charmaine Yoest, President and chief executive of Americans United for Life. “Elena Kagan has strong ties to abortion-advocacy organizations and expressed admiration for activist judges who have worked to advance social policy rather than to impartially interpret the law,”

Truth is that she will not vote fairly when it comes to Abortion cases because she has personal beliefs and strongly supports the other side.

Please comment below and let us know if you support Elena Kagan or disapprove of her Nomination and possibly confirmation to the U.S. Supreme court.

The new draft recommendation, regarding the currently imposed law against immigrants, concluded that the Arizona Law is currently impeding the federal responsibility act.

In other words, it means that a new law is being worked on, that is going to cut down on the currently imposed law against immigrants and foreign people, who are residents of the Arizonian region. Some lawyers believe that the current law is just adding up to the degree of racism against those immigrants and in return, their life is literally being made hell.

So far, the new law is still in draft phases, which clearly means that analysts are observing different aspects and limitations of it. Once they feel okay with it, they’ll pass the copy of the new law to the authorities in the White House — for approval and immediate application.

The current law, that was passed in late April has barred and attacked immigrants on several levels. In addition, a massive uproar was also attracted to the law’s unlawful terms and conditions. The police can inquire any immigrant for his/her documents, under the impression of suspicion or maybe if the cops are looking to “kill some time”, they can barge in on anyone and harass the crap out of him/her.

Immigrants are expected to carry their documents with them, all the time and if in a certain situation, they are not able to come up with a legal proof of their identity, they are going to be accused of multiple charges and arrest warrants.

There is nothing like a nice cup of coffee and a couple of doughnuts to set an adequate mood for a conversation. It seems like some of those Police chiefs from Phoenix, Tucson, Philadelphia and Los Angeles, met Attorney General – Eric Holder, and discussed their opposition to the new law, in a “friendly” manner.
Let’s just hope for things to settle themselves in the right manner, for the mutual interest of people from both sides…

He said that the nuclear deal, among Iran, Turkey and Brazil is going to serve as a final opportunity that shouldn’t be lost. The Iranian President also mentioned that President Obama should understand that this opportunity is a way of showing Americans and all those opposing groups, that Iran can still set things going in a positive motion. Maybe, if all procedures go right, the American administration will give up on those erroneous policies against Iran.

As per the NPT policies against nuclear power, President Obama fears the worse for rest of the world. He believes that this intended deal between Iran and Turkey is just going to strengthen Iran in terms of its nuclear assets.

While other nations, such as; Russia, took sides with the U.N. Security Council, against Iran, President Ahmadinejad said that the 4th round of sanctions against his country was totally uncalled for. The issue is still under debate in various countries and the U.N. officials so we don’t have a proper verdict on it for now.

Elena Kagan has been expressing concerns about the current state of Law in the country and she said that a conservative Supreme Court has been making attempts to cut back on the rights of women, criminal defendants and prisoners.

Throughout her time served with Justice Thurgood Marshall, Elena Kagan had been passing memos to express her concerns. Her memos were kept safe as a record and are currently on a file, in Marshall’s papers at the Library of Congress.

Marshall was the first African-American lawyer with his groundbreaking tactics and arguments against the segregation, who was given part in the court. At this time, Kagan would only be the sixth justice to have served as a law clerk for the high court in the past.

But some bright headed Republicans have already been showing signals of discomfort with Elena Kagan, as she is headed to the final phases of her selection as a Supreme Court Justice. A Law professor at the University of Wisconsin – Brad Snyder said that no one can draw any conclusions from those memos because he has examined relationships between judges and clerks in the past.

While Kagan was just 27 year old, she started working for Marshall in 1987 and she tried to channel Marshall in her memos in accordance to her views and concerns. We can see how her concerns have been echoing through Marshall’s well established views.

For now, we can only hope that whatever happens, happens in the best interest of all sides.

Obama sent legislation to the Congress that would allow him to propose the new package. In return, all that is expected from the Congress is that it would have to vote on the package without making further changes to it.

But it seems like, that some notable people (Sen. Robert Byrd) are not okay with the proposal. Although, Senator. Robert Byrd is one of the strongest allies of President Barack Obama, but he has served a long time as a loyal politician and his honesty compelled him to disagree with the President…

-	Byrd said that;

o	To me, the proposal is just like an old stale wine, in a new bottle. The Congress has the authority over the power of the treasury and I am personally not in the favor of another attempt at a power grab by a Chief Executive. So far, the elected representatives should be aware of our spending policies and they are expected to act in an amicable manner, which would lead us all into making the right choice for the American people.

In 2006, a similar proposal was suggested by Mr. Bill Frist and Paul Ryan and it actually did pass the House but it only received 35 votes from the Democrats. However, there are few people who are still supportive of the President’s proposal.

The White House budget director – Peter Orszag said that according to the current situation and economic deterioration, the new proposal by the President, has potential to make things better for all of us. Our accumulated debt is way past the $13 Billion milestone and this proposal could save a few billion dollars.

We already know that Tea Party activists will never be happy with the government, no matter what happens. Sometimes, they remind me of that East Wing, Anti American cult, but maybe someday they’ll be happy with the government of their choice.

People like; Sarah Palin and Rand Paul are strong allies of the Tea Party movement and recently, Rand Paul showed the possibilities before the tea party, with his landslide wins in Kentucky. Ever since then, he has been showing the limitations of the tea party through several basic political errors.

First off, he equivocated on whether the Civil Rights Act was right in forcing private businesses to comply, then he talked about the Obama Administration and called it “Un American” for failing in coping with the current oil spill issue and the recent mine accident in West Virginia.

Okay we get it, those comments do point towards the negligence of some people in taking proper safety measures against disasters like these, but to blame the whole government, just doesn’t sum up in the right manner. Clearly, the Tea Party activists are just trying to influence politics in the country.

Out of many slogans of the Tea Party, the core ones are;

-	Restoration of fiscal responsibility and constitutionally limited government in Washington
-	A Demand for balanced and systematic budget
-	Put an end to the runaway government spending and growing tax rates

Basically, in theory, almost all of the Senators and political bodies are demanding the same thing, but the main question still hangs in the balance;
“Who should be in charge of changing the United States if he/she is appointed as the new political head of the country?”

Yes, I am talking about the recent oil spill issue that is still prevailing without any signs of an adequate solution to it.

As per the standard operations procedure, the U.S. President Barack Obama said that there might be chances of future offshore drilling campaigns, IF and only IF — the authorities promise on being careful from this time onwards.

Honestly speaking, America has no other option right now, and if there are options, they are quite limited. Oil drilling has to continue sooner or later because the American economy isn’t perfectly stable these days. Abandoning future drilling plans would result in letting U.S. take loans from foreign countries, which would be another long term financial liability.

According to the recent orders issued on future oil drilling plans, it was stated that the commission shall ensure that it doesn’t interfere with or disrupt any ongoing civil or criminal investigations, pertaining to the Deepwater Horizon explosion, fire and oil spill.

As of now, efforts are still being made to get down to the main cause of the spill and why didn’t the prevention mechanism work in the first place. Attorney General – Eric Holder said that the U.S. Department of Justice is also involved in investigating the cause of oil leakage.

President Obama openly admitted that some part of the whole incident can be blamed on BP, Halliburton and Transocean, but Washington and the Federal Bodies are equally responsible in this blame game. Rest assured, we’ve to make sure that a disaster like this, never repeats itself again.

The U.N Security Council has been probing deep into the recent incident of South Korean ship sinking. It is believed that the North Koreans had something to do with it and if this thing is true then, it’d be a direct violation of the peace treaty between North and South Korea.

Almost 11 countries are going to investigate this matter to find any evidence, which might lead them in determining the scope of North Korean armistice violations. For now, the Korean authorities as a whole, are saying that the incident occurred because of a machine part malfunction.

However, so far, the outside investigating teams revealed some facts that point to the involvement of North Korea in this whole fiasco. It is being said that a North Korean ship fired a bombing torpedo on March 26, towards Cheonan – the South Korean ship. After the collision, the Torpedo ripped the 1200-ton Cheonan in two pieces and the explosion claimed the lives of 46 South Korean sailors.

Upon competition, the results of the investigation will be submitted via draft, to the U.N Security Council, the U.S. General Walter L. Sharp and then later on, a proper conclusion will be deducted. So far, there hasn’t been a clear indication as to when the investigation will reach an end, but South Korean officials are saying that it’d be somewhere near the end of June.

The political situation in Thailand hasn’t increased significantly. An army spokesman said in a TV broadcast that the protest site was under control and military has halted the violent operations. This clearly means that a lot of protestors fell victim to the cold grasp of death, while others were left wounded in the middle of the Thai streets.

According to recent analysis, 4 people lost their lives since the troops moved in early in the day. While the opposition leaders were surrendering, 3 grenades went off, wounding two armed soldiers badly.

Let’s take a look at what analysts had to say about these recent incidents;

-	The protests are never going to end at this rate because the government needs to take a look at the grassroots level problems.
-	The future of Thailand depends clearly on how the government is taking into account, various decisions and how they are being executed.
-	The social division factor in Thailand is way too deep.
-	We are all living in the same country as one body and whatever we are doing, it will affect us all.

But that’s not all, because the unpredictable situation in Thailand has also affected its economy. If the political situation isn’t going to improve, then it is severely going to affect the economy and set it back to level 0.

In between these events, small windows of opportunities keep popping up, just like the way it happened yesterday – the government had the chance of getting down on the table for negotiations and device an adequate solution. But some “bright” headed individuals voted for the army to crack down on common men and women of Thailand.

In recent United Nations conference, Hillary Clinton said that the U.S. and major powers of the world have agreed on approving the draft against Iran’s nuclear policy. The approval was a result of Iran’s acceptance of an enriched uranium stock pile, from a Brazilian and Turkish mediated deal.

Iran’s recent set of decisions towards the acquisition of that uranium stock pile, somehow, acted as a catalyst in the imposition of those sanctions. The U.N. Security Council got blunter in taking actions against Iran. On top of that, Bill Clinton said that the momentum of these U.N. sanctions has never slowed down and apparently, this new round of sanctions is going to be the 4th one.

Hilary Clinton also said that we are currently acknowledging all efforts from countries like; Turkey and Brazil to find a solution to Iran’s stand-off with the nuclear community, over an unclear nuclear program, that leads to a lot of unanswered questions. But on the other side, we have Russia, China, the U.K., France and Germany, who are all cooperating with the U.N. security council and through these measures, we intend on sending a clear message to Iran.

Among all those “major” countries, China was pretty reluctant in supporting the Security Council members on new sanctions against Iran. But the officials have said that China did participate throughout the negotiations process so for now, we have no qualms against China.
