He said that the nuclear deal, among Iran, Turkey and Brazil is going to serve as a final opportunity that shouldn’t be lost. The Iranian President also mentioned that President Obama should understand that this opportunity is a way of showing Americans and all those opposing groups, that Iran can still set things going in a positive motion. Maybe, if all procedures go right, the American administration will give up on those erroneous policies against Iran.

As per the NPT policies against nuclear power, President Obama fears the worse for rest of the world. He believes that this intended deal between Iran and Turkey is just going to strengthen Iran in terms of its nuclear assets.

While other nations, such as; Russia, took sides with the U.N. Security Council, against Iran, President Ahmadinejad said that the 4th round of sanctions against his country was totally uncalled for. The issue is still under debate in various countries and the U.N. officials so we don’t have a proper verdict on it for now.

The political situation in Thailand hasn’t increased significantly. An army spokesman said in a TV broadcast that the protest site was under control and military has halted the violent operations. This clearly means that a lot of protestors fell victim to the cold grasp of death, while others were left wounded in the middle of the Thai streets.

According to recent analysis, 4 people lost their lives since the troops moved in early in the day. While the opposition leaders were surrendering, 3 grenades went off, wounding two armed soldiers badly.

Let’s take a look at what analysts had to say about these recent incidents;

-	The protests are never going to end at this rate because the government needs to take a look at the grassroots level problems.
-	The future of Thailand depends clearly on how the government is taking into account, various decisions and how they are being executed.
-	The social division factor in Thailand is way too deep.
-	We are all living in the same country as one body and whatever we are doing, it will affect us all.

But that’s not all, because the unpredictable situation in Thailand has also affected its economy. If the political situation isn’t going to improve, then it is severely going to affect the economy and set it back to level 0.

In between these events, small windows of opportunities keep popping up, just like the way it happened yesterday – the government had the chance of getting down on the table for negotiations and device an adequate solution. But some “bright” headed individuals voted for the army to crack down on common men and women of Thailand.

The approval was a result of Iran’s acceptance of an enriched uranium stock pile, from a Brazilian and Turkish mediated deal.

Iran’s recent set of decisions towards the acquisition of that uranium stock pile, somehow, acted as a catalyst in the imposition of those sanctions. The U.N. Security Council got blunter in taking actions against Iran. On top of that, Bill Clinton said that the momentum of these U.N. sanctions has never slowed down and apparently, this new round of sanctions is going to be the 4th one.

Hilary Clinton also said that we are currently acknowledging all efforts from countries like; Turkey and Brazil to find a solution to Iran’s stand-off with the nuclear community, over an unclear nuclear program, that leads to a lot of unanswered questions. But on the other side, we have Russia, China, the U.K., France and Germany, who are all cooperating with the U.N. security council and through these measures, we intend on sending a clear message to Iran.

Among all those “major” countries, China was pretty reluctant in supporting the Security Council members on new sanctions against Iran. But the officials have said that China did participate throughout the negotiations process so for now, we have no qualms against China.

One common name was Mr. Clegg—and David accused him of breathtaking arrogance! But now, since Cameron has the upper hand, things are being figured out and both of them are sitting together, doling out cabinet jobs and contemplating the future prospects for their country.

Both parties shockingly struck their first deal in form of a negotiation paper, which points to a new give and take policy and by the looks of it, if you had a chance of listening to them, you’d have thought that the seven page bill was imprinted on their hearts.

It’s not easy for David Cameron to make everyone agree to his new plans and reform actions. We are seeing him as a new leader who wants to bring a positive change to the political system but many people from the opposition party are going to hold their noses against any sort of change in the country.

Similarly, many Lib Dems are going to be dismayed at the facts that for now, the new leader has given no particular attention towards the crisis in Europe. The euro is currently ruled out for this parliament and there will be referendums if any more powers are to be transferred to Brussels or somewhere else.

In addition, Alex Salmond said that he’s not going to let Scottish people watch the show as helpless bystanders in the face of potential cuts.

David Cameron replaced Conservative leader – Gordon Brown, in the recent British electoral run. It was a tough campaign for both sides but seems like, only one could make it to the end and that’s how it was supposed to go.

But still, like a gentleman, David Cameron paid a tribute to Mr. Brown but he did pass a light sarcastic comment by saying that Brown was more of a force of nature for Scottish people, and he always pursued his objectives with strength and an adamant willpower.

Still to come — Mr. Salmond has been showing the level of his itchiness by speaking his mind set. He said that – to me, it is a pity for the whole nation of Scotland and especially for those people who’ve no idea about changing politics and it was a failure as per my calculations. From next year onwards, we are going to have elections in Scotland and we are no longer helpless as back in the 80’s, under Margaret Thatcher’s reign.

In addition, Salmond made it clear that the Scottish fellas are going to lend a hand to the “new” government in Westminster, as long as they’re going to act in our favor. But if someone is going to try and slash our key services in Scotland, we are going to strike back and resist with everything.

The U.N. is going to open up with a new round of sanctions against Iran, by the end of June. But for now, a draft proposal hasn’t been submitted to the Security Council. On the other hand, Brazil has been working with Iran towards ceasing those nuclear weapons program, in hopes of slowing down the presentation of that draft to the United Nations Security Council.

The Iranian government is facing a lot of pressure and it is evident that, by the end of June, the European, Chinese and U.S. partners are going to exert pressure on Iran, against the nuclear power it possesses. It seems as if the European side is itchier about disarming and stripping Iran off of any nuclear assets, because they said that a draft against Iran is supposed to be presented in a 15 member council.

Iran’s foreign minister – Manouchehr Mottaki is involved in negotiations with the U.N. Security Council and he tried to reiterate the possibility of a uranium swap that would probably cease the draft submission process against Iran.

By the time, the draft will be approved for a final copy, it is being hoped that the Iranians will engage themselves in something positive finally. Something that would “persuade” the Iranian government to call it quits on their nuclear assets and ongoing nuclear weapons programs.

They approved the hefty cuts and reforms so that things could be shaped in a better position and members of the parliament voted 172 – 121 to pass this bill.

This bill includes tax rises and cut downs in pensions and public sector bonuses. On the other hand, due to the current crisis and the bill approval factor, the common man is going to face a lot of trouble in his walk of life. That is why; a lot of protestors had to be dispersed by police, through means of tear gas and baton charge recently, during protests.

The situation got worse when three bank workers lost their lives in a petrol bomb attack, since the seemingly innocent protests turned a more violent color. These recent deaths came as a shock to a lot of people in Greece and Prime Minister George Papandreou said that violence was not the only solution to this whole problem.
In addition, at one of the Marfin Bank branches, where the three workers died, has become a focus for grieving and mourning. People are expressing their grievances by lining the entire doorway with flowers.

Shops and local business community has also halted to a certain degree. Things have been clearing up after the riots but it will take a while to get things going in a normal gear. To make the people of Greece realize the gravity and seriousness of the situation, President Karolos Papoulias said that Greece is at the verge of a black abyss and we have to work as a team to set sails towards the open and calm waters.

Nick Clegg, quite a charismatic and smart person to lead the Liberal Democrats had a rally going on at Eastbourne – a small seaside town in southern England. Wednesday is going to be the final day of campaigning in one of the most unpredictable and three way electoral run. It is going to be the last day of energizing voters with tons of television trucks lined up across the street and “lots” of people were gathered around the steel barriers that marked off the area, where Nick Clegg would speak.

It seemed a little funny because when people arrived at the spot, they were handed placard by the authorities, which said – “I support Nick”, “You can make a difference Nick”, “I agree with Nick” and there were tons more, but these three were the only ones, my eyes landed on.

I did mention that British elections are a faded version of the U.S. elections and I said so because unlike the U.S campaigns, there are a very limited number of people who actually show up in support of their leaders. For example, the presidential run of Barack Obama was enough to attract millions of people and whenever he had to make a speech, the streets remained jam-packed.

But in Eastbourne, Clegg only drew a couple of hundred lads, who didn’t even scribble their own placards. But that’s not all, we cannot blame anyone and I’d rather call British elections more peaceful and humble. One reason for British elections being low key is the amount of money that is allowed to be spent on these campaigns.

Unlike the U.S. campaigns, British parties are allowed to spend only $30 million and we cannot compare this amount of money to the one spent on major campaigns in the U.S. Plus, there are no TV ads, no 30 second spots and the parties are only given a small amount of time to air their message to the concerned people out there. So all in all, more credit goes to the British elections because they have to manage everything on a tight rope.

Unlike the Sudanese electoral run, the British elections are fair and square (some folks agree and some disagree) and the voters these days are taking part in a photo – finish election that went to the polls today. Some people are worrying that the Labour party is going to get away with most of the seats in parliament, even if it comes down to being third in national popular votes.

Each party is given a number of seats roughly according to its proportion of the overall national votes, and that is how parliamentary systems are supposed to select MPs. We can say that the British election system is pretty much similar to the U.S. election system as the winner gets away with everything.

According to the present situation, the proportional representation (PR) system is one big thing to be admired by the British people, but with this factor in mind, the Liberal Democrats are going to reveal some sort of unexpected thing. People are expecting them to be at the third position, but that’s not like it.

Gene Murphy – guy from the polling booth, came out and spoke up that the elections follow those simple old school rules. Whoever scores the most, wins it and that’s all there is to it. So there’s no point in making assumptions and guesses before the results are out.

So the question is, in any case, do the British people want a change or not? According to Professor Van Der Ejik – the current voting system is not fair. There are trade-offs, if the people want a system in which a representative can be clearly related to the area he/she was chosen from? Or do you feel like going for a high degree of proportionality, where the citizens and their own representatives tend to be weaker?

All things aside, Tories don’t have to worry that much because they are leading by 35% to 37%, whereas, the Labour party is running second, with only a 28% to 29% progress. This leaves those Liberal Democrats way behind with only 26% and they need to cover a lot of space in order to make gains.

Are Iranians going to give in to the ongoing Non Proliferation Treaty? – Or, is something opposite going to occur? The answer isn’t clear to anyone because it depends mostly on whom you ask and how you are able to define violation in accordance to your own perspectives.

Iran is okay with the U.S. and IAEA officials sniffing around for any suspicious activities. They opened their doors to the inspection committee and even after hours of thorough checking, no one found signs of any ongoing bomb program. The Iranian President Ahmadinejad is acting in favor of the NPT (for the time being), as he has expressed his opinions against the possession of nuclear weapons.

But the IAEA committee says that there might be some hidden nuclear projects in Iran that must have been deliberately hidden to conceal the real deal. We cannot deny the fact that Iran and IAEA have been on itchy terms since the year 2002, when Israeli intelligence came up with information, pointing towards the secret nuclear weapon plans of Iran.

The recent November censure said that Iran is not completely cooperating with the investigating authorities. Their nuclear plants and weapons program (if any), is in breach of the terms and conditions of the NPT. However, the report didn’t specifically include the word “violate” anywhere but still, the messages was conveyed clearly to every member of the NPT.
