Carrie-Underwood-to-Win-the-Top-Honor-of-ACM Sunday night became a historic event for Carrie Underwood. As a matter of fact, she became the first woman who managed to win entertainer twice. Carrie Underwood has won the top honor of the Academy of Country Music Awards this year as well as last year. She left behind Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, the Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and also George Strait.

Also Underwood was praised with special trophy for “triple crown” earlier that evening.

The dominant winner of Academy of Country Music Awards was trio Lady Antebellum. The trio grabbed five trophies. Miranda Lambert who is considered to be a good friend of the trio, got three awards.

The top-selling trio, i.e. Lady A which involves Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood, and Hillary Scott was the main nominee. The trio became the best vocal group and managed to get the award for the single record of the hit “Need You Now.” Also they got two trophies for their song of the year as it was composed by the trio.

According to Kelley, you never know what can happen and where your song can lead you. It seems like that Sunday evening became the pinnacle of the trio’s career.

The friends of trio also got their awards. Lambert became the winner in the category of top female vocalist. Although Swift became a winner of album last year and being nominated for five awards this year, she did not get any trophy. But she started her rendition of “Change.”

In fact, the show was full of heavy performances.
