Investigators for Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio have announced that the birth certificate for President Barack Obama is fraudulent. The group of volunteer investigators said back in March that they were suspicious of the long form copy of the birth certificate that the White House released in early 2011. They said they had cause to believe it was just a computer-generated forgery.

Now, the sheriff says his investigators are 100% certain the document is fraudulent. The chief investigator for the group, Mike Zullo, said the numeric codes on certain area of Obama’s birth certificate indicated that those sections had not been filled out. However, sections pertaining to Obama’s father’s race and his occupation were completed.

The lead investigator said previously he did not know what the codes meant, but they were told to him by a former state worker who is 95 years old, who signed the birth certificate of Obama. Zullo said he was allowed to listen to an interview of the former state employee. A writer, who has published a book regarding the birth certificate of Obama allowed Zullo to hear his interview with the former worker.

No one from the White House or the Obama campaign commented on the allegation by Arpaio. The Democratic Party in Arizona said through a prepared statement that the investigation by Arpaio is only intended to take away attention from his own problems in his office like the hundreds of cases involving sex-crime that have been inadequately investigates over the past three years.

Many people, who have been dubbed birthers, insist that President Obama is not eligible to be the president because they contend he was not born in Hawaii, but in Kenya.
