Loose lips – sink ships… and this phrase suits the BP oil spill incident perfectly.
Truitt Crawford – A worker for Transocean said that a few days before the oil spill explosion, he overheard the upper management, talking about BP’s stance on the whole incident. He heard those officials saying that BP was trying to squirm through the tense situation by displacing the well with saltwater, instead of sealing it with a mud and cement adhesive. This is why; the whole rig blew up and probably became the cause of the massive oil spill.
It looks like the investigating officials have finally come up with some solid documents, but still, a further analysis is underway. One of the reports reflects upon those set of incidents, which took place during the last 51 minutes, right before the explosion took place.
As per the daily routine, rig workers were winding up after pumping fluid into the well but something was obviously wrong that day, because the amount fluid was way more than its normal quota. The workers immediately did what they had to do – they shutdown the pump but the oil was still spilling out and the pressure in the drill pipe was increasing by every passing minute.
Some of the brave crew members tried to control the situation on mechanical terms but unfortunately, nothing worked out and they lost their lives, while trying to “save” the company. The key question still hangs in the balance, whether a proper set of safety precautions and equipment was used or not?

I believe it would be in the best interest of our country, our people, and our precious gulf to ban BP from ever drilling or selling oil, fuel or any product in our country again. It would ring out a head racking bell for companies who believe it is ok to circumvent our safety protocols and procedures to make a fast buck. I also think it should be a law that says, if you are a CEO, or an employee with executive rolls, that you have to actually have an active roll in your company, so you can physically be held responsible, and not weasel out with indirect answers, and “I was not made aware”. I believe citizens, individuals need to stand up for whats right, because if we dont, the select few people that make the decisions, who call the shots, who are paid by us to make these very important decisions, and then corrupted by people like BP, this will happen again. In a different industry. In a different disaster. How many people (common people) get away with mass murder? If BP is as guilty of this disaster as their own internal paperwork says they are, that is exactly what they are guilty of. Yeah, they are forking out lots of money. Big whoop. If a common man did something like this, he would rot in prison, and if he got to see the light of day again, he would never have much (money or possessions). BP Should FRY for this, its time to grow up America! This is the times we are in. Socialist Government, Even our own President circumvents our due process, he did so by having a meeting in the whitehouse with BP!!! Then see what Hawaii did to keep from even being required to respond to access requests for Obama’s Birth Certificate.
