So far we’ve only been hearing those “so called” updates from BP, about the growing oil spill incident. This time, BP officials said that they are going to stuff mud into the affected areas of those pipes, under the surface.
Wow, Mud eh? Well, looks like sooner or later, they are going to start stuffing golf balls, junk and unneeded household equipment as well. But let me assure you, BP, Halliburton and Transocean will definitely make a profit out of it….
This time, 3 drilling rigs and 16 remote control vehicles are being lined up for the muddy attempt and the results will be out on May 25. On the other side, President Obama called two of his trusted allies, Bob Graham (D – Former Senator and Florida Governor) and William Reilly (Former Administrator of Environmental Protection Agency) to lead a team of investigators, in order to determine the cause of leakage.
In attempts of making things better, President Obama mentioned in one of his addresses that we are going to ensure that none of this ever happens again, especially since we have plans of future offshore drilling.
Those BP guys are still adamant on the 5,000-barrel-per-day quota and when someone asks them about the volume of oil spill on daily basis, they’d blurt the same thing over and over again because the 5,000 barrels a day, seems like the best estimate for the spill.
The Mysterious Case of Sinking Hair Boom:
BP officials also tried to handle the situation through the Hair Boom solution, but it became water logged and sank within a few hours. Only a huge fleet of embarrassment and incompetence is floating aloof the surface right now.
The U.S. coast guard and concerned authorities in different districts are making plans of their own. They already know that the oil spill isn’t showing any chances of slowing down so they decided to deal with the amount of oil that is headed towards the shoreline. For that very purpose, different ideas and solutions are being applied, but so far, the success rate has been next to nothing.
Then again, on top of everything, there are some people (Democrat Mary Landrieu and her team of 10 supporting senators) who are more concerned about the imposition of Ban on future offshore drilling projects. It is being said that the offshore drilling ban is going to cause a loss of $135 Million if it continues to prevail during the month of June.

I hope they continue to make a profit. I own a (very)little BP stock. I also drive a car that uses gasoline, heat my house with oil, and use a lot of plastic things. I also am concerned about Obama’s anemic economic recovery, kept pitiful by his obvious disdain for profit. Despite the halucinations of liberals that there is a tooth fairy, any losses BP encounters will eventually be felt across the entire oil industry, and by all of us at the gas pumps, and with higher costs and prices in almost all industries, almost all of which are oil based to some degree. That is, unless you are an Amish Mennonite and ride a horse and heat with wood. (Woops! Even then, there’s that CO2 from horse farts and wood burning.)
