Law Enforcement Officials in Arizona are ready to Implement the Immigration Law

Before the very hot immigration law becomes effective on July 29, there are now a lot of police in Arizona saying that this may be a big burden for all the law enforcement officers. The immigration law would require them to deal with the immigration status of foreign citizens living in the state. Those who have Hispanic blood fears that those who have dark skin would immediately be suspected to be illegal aliens. It is also possible that the officials will take advantage and harass even those who are legally living in Arizona as well. However, many police said that they would be enforcing the law without laying their hands on the rights of these citizens.

When the new law in Arizona started to make noise, the Hispanic groups in the state already tried to protest. They described the law as an encouragement to profiling people with races. However, those who are pro-immigration law say that the police are not imposing the law just because of their racial appearance or ethnicity. Law enforces are obliged to follow the law as it is.

One of the former agents of the federal immigration helped in recently in making a video for all the police officers in the state. Hipolito Acosta made this video so that the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board will know how to handle this relatively new duty.

In an intereview, Hipolito Acosta said that dealing with the immigration law is just like imposing any other law in the state. They just have to know the different factors that they may encounter before carrying it out.

According to the law, before an official would stop a citizen and start asking about the status of the immigration, they must have a rational reason for suspicion first that the person really violated the immigration law.

SAY NO TO SB1070, RACIST RUSSEL PEARCE & THE HATE ANTI-IMMIGRATION GROUP(S) BEHIND THIS LAW!

Brewer and her Republican gang have failed to point out that the new law will do nothing to stop the coyotes, human traffickers and dangerous drug and arms dealers that cross our border every day.

They don’t mention that the new law is an unfunded mandate and gives police no resources or funding to implement the new law.

Brewer and Republicans took police officers off the streets when they massively cut public-safety funding this year.

Law enforcement now can be sued if they don’t enforce the law and no doubt will be sued if they do. The law actually unwisely ties the hands of police officers instead of enabling them to protect our communities.

Arizona’s new immigration law is a flawed solution to a very serious problem — crime and violence in our neighborhoods and along parts of the border.

Arizona’s economy cannot handle the expense of a law that does not provide a real solution to the problem.

We need a tough solution at the national level.

    • This is for Judy. I looked brown and even my last name is Hspanic, but I still support the immigration law enacted here in Arizona. What do i fear? At the airport, they inspect your shoes, your jackets, your luggage, ask for your passport or ID and of course, your boarding pass. So if one is stopped and is aked for his driving license and registration papers, is that what you call profiling or racisim. I want everyone including you to obey and respect our laws. Your views are one sided. We are a nation of laws and if you break any law, you should be responsible.

Undocumented foreigner’s living in the US are here illegally. I see no reason to spend the money and energy to enact a law if it is not enforced. If it had been enforced, we would not have this immigrant crises.

Illegal citizen’s have no idea why American’s are upset. We never cared the last 40 years and when they multiplied we still did not care. Blame the situation on we the people for not making Government do their job. Thankfully we still have a few who will step up to the plate – Thank you Sheriff Joe and Governor Brewer.

  3. republicanblack says:

Look, I am against illegal immigration, but at the same time I am feeling bad of the children of those illegals. Why should those children pay for the sins of their fathers. I don’t think they should just be citizens, the ones that are brought here, I think they should either serve or do something to earn it, but they should definitely be able to. The parents or adults should never get it unless they leave and return the right way, else stay work, never get their citizenship or tax returns as payment for coming illegally. See what I mean check out this story

    • This is for republicanblack: It is their parent’s faults. When they were pregnant, they crossed the border to avail themselves of the provision of birthright of the 14th amendment, which was intended for the slaves, the people who wer brought here from Africa. Even children of foreign consuls are not considered citizens of the US when there children are born here. What gives these illegal immigrants’ children the better right to become American citizens than those who are here. Legal immigrants’ children who are born here are not US citizens until they reach the age of 18. They are just considered as American born children not American citizens. Besides this, these illegal immigrants are not under the jurisdiction of the United States of America, but they are under the jurisdiction of the country where they came from.
