Oil Spill Is Progressing

Oil-Spill-Is-Progressing COCODRIE, La. — Environmental disasters are really something which can’t be dealt with so easily and nowadays the Gulf of Mexico is subject to a massive oil still that is still being taken care of right now. So far, the rough tides and strong winds are hindering the overall progress towards cleanup efforts and methods of redeeming the spill.

The White House has been deeply concerned about the oil spill because it is generating a loss of millions of dollars on daily basis, it poses a threat to human lives and most importantly – the aquatic life is severely getting affected by the slick.

New Orleans and rest of the states are facing a massive sea of pure crude/raw oil in the shape of rusty orange texture and according to a recent estimate, about 210,000 Gallons of oil is leaking into the Gulf each day. At this rate, that slick is definitely going to find its way to the shoreline.

Authorities are handling the oil flow by creating a heartier and sturdier marshland which is supposed to divert the Mississippi River and the major load of sediment to counter a potential influx of more oil spills.

Normally oil doesn’t damage a lot when it comes to marshlands because the grass can sustain most of the damage but if the spill is consistent, it can damage the roots and plants are unable to sustain the effects different damages.
