The Duchess of York is greatly troubled right now because the debts continue to rise and right now they are around 5 million pounds. There are a lot of questions as to what she should do but the only option that she might have left is to be the first Duchess of York history to do voluntary bankruptcy from a royal.

A senior financial adviser of the Buckingham Palace was the one that suggested this action to the Duchess. Despite the fact that it would cause embarrassment the problem would be fixed. It is said that the queen is very concerned about all of the debts and that they are bigger then what she thought they would be. The UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, was just recently briefed about the issue regarding Sarah Ferguson.

Some people feel that if the Duchess of York decides to go on with it and declare bankruptcy that it would be a week-long deal and that soon people might stop talking about the situation that the Duchess is in. People are horrified that the money was not watched after more closely and they hope that the Duchess learns something from all of this and possibly prevent it again from happening in the future.
