Arizona Immigration – America Stands By Her Own

A controversial bill known as SB 1070 has caused much stir in not only Arizona, but the rest of the nation as well. Not so many people would have guessed that this exact immigration debate would revolve around a state law. This bill has brought many protesters to the table, the table of Arizona and the to the heart of each citizen in it. But, it really does seem to go so much further than that.

Knowingly, the vast majority of Americans throughout the nation supports SB 1070. Both political parties and many of the parties followers feel this bill should and will pass. Jumping on this band wagon includes every human race known to man. It seems dozens of gubernatorial and attorney general candidates are campaigning to enact SB 1070-style legislation. Many politicians in charge are ready to sign any political bill that comes there way even if it only partly represents the bill that Arizona is voting on.

The president and his administration are not very fond of this bill to say the very least. Barack Obama had earlier this year announced he would sue Arizona in federal court if this bill was to pass. But, many still believe in the old saying “we the people.” Well, federally it wouldn’t seem this way in 2010 for many different bills that “we the people” are going to be voting on.

Whichever way that SB 1070 turns out, there will be plenty of controversy behind it. There is only a couple days until voting is put into the hands of the people this November 2nd. Many states seem as though they back this controversial bill, but ACLU and many other communities feel this is not the route to take. If it does pass, or if it doesn’t only one thing is sure. This year plenty of people will be going neck and neck on a personal level for personal freedoms.
