After David Cameron was declared as the new Prime Minister of the UK, Scottish officials promised to cooperate with him, as long as he would act in Scotland’s interests. In addition, Alex Salmond said that he’s not going to let Scottish people watch the show as helpless bystanders in the face of potential cuts.
David Cameron replaced Conservative leader – Gordon Brown, in the recent British electoral run. It was a tough campaign for both sides but seems like, only one could make it to the end and that’s how it was supposed to go.
But still, like a gentleman, David Cameron paid a tribute to Mr. Brown but he did pass a light sarcastic comment by saying that Brown was more of a force of nature for Scottish people, and he always pursued his objectives with strength and an adamant willpower.
Still to come — Mr. Salmond has been showing the level of his itchiness by speaking his mind set. He said that – to me, it is a pity for the whole nation of Scotland and especially for those people who’ve no idea about changing politics and it was a failure as per my calculations. From next year onwards, we are going to have elections in Scotland and we are no longer helpless as back in the 80’s, under Margaret Thatcher’s reign.
In addition, Salmond made it clear that the Scottish fellas are going to lend a hand to the “new” government in Westminster, as long as they’re going to act in our favor. But if someone is going to try and slash our key services in Scotland, we are going to strike back and resist with everything.
