Judge Says another Obama Term Means Civil War is Imminent
A county judge in Texas declared that the U.S. would fall into a civil war if current President Barack Obama were re-elected to a second term in office. Tom Head, the County Judge is now facing huge backlash for his comments from Democrats who demand his resignation.
However, the Judge, a Lubbock County Republican, attempted to play down the backlash by saying his comments had been taken out of context. He said his remarks on Tuesday might not have been completely what he thought would happen. Head was interviewed on local radio and TV and spoke of his concerns over another term in office for Obama.
He said Obama was going to attempt to give the country’s sovereignty to the United Nations. He asked his interviewer what he thought the public might do when Obama does that. He said civil unrest would follow along with civil disobedience and that could lead to civil war. He said if that happened, the people would take up their arms and force Obama to somehow respond.
The judge had been on a media campaign to voice his support for a property tax proposal that would increase the tax during the next fiscal year. That would allow for more sheriff’s deputies to be hired in the event Obama was re-elected and civil disobedience started. He said he did not want rookies protecting the county. He wanted veterans who were seasoned and had the correct equipment and if they were not enough against U.N. troops then he would call in the militia.
Many Democrats want him to resign since he cannot be recalled even though he is in an elected office.
