RNC Wanting to Push Michael Steele Off Board
The infamous chairman Michael Steele has been having a tough time lately. So much so that his own party members want him to leave, but the ranks and files have been on Steele’s side lately, making him a difficult pawn to replace.
The committee has conducted 40+ interviews, and carried out surveys to figure out common opinion about this guy. So far the respondents haven’t favored the disdained Chairman, saying that Steele’s time has been pretty rough and costly as well. There’s only 2 months to go, the mere thought of balloting season is already giving nightmares to a handful of politicians. It’s like one of those closet monsters that mothers warn their kids about.
Ada Fisher of North Carolina recently said, “You can’t keep spending the kind of money they’re spending every month just to operate the RNC.
I would hope he would step aside. The question is who should be hired for the next two years; it’s not a matter of firing anybody. I just don’t think Steele has performed at the level we need for the presidential cycle.”
39 out of 51 members, who were interviewed to get a stance on Steele’s performance, said that they didn’t want the Chairman to be on the ballot. Most of them would rather have him staying back home, during the upcoming mid-January polling results.
As far as Steele himself is concerned, he doesn’t give two hoots about what people say about him. I do appreciate this guy’s candor and will to go on, but sometimes when the people don’t want you, you’ve to leave.
