Romney Would Not Run another Time
On Thursday, Ann Romney, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, said that she did not want Romney to seek the presidency this year and said if he does not win on November 6, the former governor of Massachusetts would retire from the political arena.
Mrs. Romney said he would not run again, nor would she take part in something like this again. She said it was very hard for her to go forward after losing the nomination four years ago and for the rest of the family to as well. The children have had a difficult time said Mrs. Romney. However, she felt that her husband had something he could offer his country that was just his and that he would be able to bring more economic hope to all Americans.
Romney’s family members have said they had a number of reservations about one more presidential bid. Matt Romney, one of Romney’s sons, said he too was very reluctant and did not want his father to run again. He said he tried to convince his dad not to do it.
Josh Romney said his family was nervous about the way their lives might change if his father was to be elected. He said their lives are very good the way they are and this is an instance where we know it will be good for the country and for our dad, but not necessarily for us.
Josh said that the remark by his brother Tagg about wanting to take a swipe at the President was a joke. He said his brother had hit him a couple of times and he can assure the President that he does not have anything to worry about.
