On Tuesday, the re-election campaign of President Barack Obama launched a new television ad that will run in Ohio, Iowa and Virginia that accuses opponent Mitt Romney of outsourcing jobs overseas. Romney has promised to create new jobs using his vast business experience.

The ad’s narrator said, “What would you expect from someone who at one time had a Swiss Bank Account?”

The half-minute ad continues President Obama’s campaign of picking personal fights with the ex-governor of Massachusetts. Just after the release of the video, a campaign spokesman for Obama tweeted, “There are just two reasons to own a bank account in Switzerland: hedging against the movement of the dollar or avoiding paying your correct amount of taxes.

The new ad also takes on Romney’s message that his success in business gives him better qualifications to help the fragile economy and helps create new jobs.

The ad’s narrator says, “While a CEO, he sent jobs from the U.S. to China and Mexico and as Massachusetts’ governor outsourced many jobs to an India call center.

The ad also condemns the conservative Super PAC advertisements that have assailed Obama for supporting loans for green energy businesses that either failed or sent jobs overseas. It points to the findings of an independent organization that does fact checking that said some of those criticisms could be misleading.

There was no immediate comment for the Romney campaign about the content of the new advertisement.
