U.N Security Council to Probe the Recent Incident of South Korea

U.N-Security-Council-to-Probe-the-Recent-Incident-of-South-Korea The U.N Security Council has been probing deep into the recent incident of South Korean ship sinking. It is believed that the North Koreans had something to do with it and if this thing is true then, it’d be a direct violation of the peace treaty between North and South Korea.

Almost 11 countries are going to investigate this matter to find any evidence, which might lead them in determining the scope of North Korean armistice violations. For now, the Korean authorities as a whole, are saying that the incident occurred because of a machine part malfunction.

However, so far, the outside investigating teams revealed some facts that point to the involvement of North Korea in this whole fiasco. It is being said that a North Korean ship fired a bombing torpedo on March 26, towards Cheonan – the South Korean ship. After the collision, the Torpedo ripped the 1200-ton Cheonan in two pieces and the explosion claimed the lives of 46 South Korean sailors.

Upon competition, the results of the investigation will be submitted via draft, to the U.N Security Council, the U.S. General Walter L. Sharp and then later on, a proper conclusion will be deducted. So far, there hasn’t been a clear indication as to when the investigation will reach an end, but South Korean officials are saying that it’d be somewhere near the end of June.
