SINGAPORE, March 10, 2013 — – Singapore-based social enterprise CarbonStorywill make 100 SXSW visitors per day carbon neutral for free (March 10-13).CarbonStory is a crowd funding platform giving people a fun and easy way tobecome part of the solution to climate change by sponsoring projects all overthe world. The company launches its public beta at SXSW on March 10.
“By launching CarbonStory, we want to show how easy it is to join thefight against climate change” said Andreas Birnik, Co-founder of CarbonStory. “Weare making the first 100 visitors to our booth each day carbon neutral for freeby sponsoring small scale renewable energy projects including wind farms andhydro power.”
By joining CarbonStory, users get access to a crowd funding platformwith climate change mitigation projects all around the world. Users can browsea portfolio of certified green projects in different categories including renewableenergy, reforestation, greenhouse gas capture and energy efficiency. When userssponsor a project, they can post this on Facebook. Users also get a personalaccount visible on the web and can compete which each other by earning badges,climbing in leaderboard rankings or by joining teams.

Visitors to SXSW can get a demo at Booth 920 in the SXSW Trade Show(part of the Singapore Alley). Every day, from March 10-13, CarbonStory willmake the first 100 visitors carbon neutral for free.
