A couple of milestones are still left to conquer, but so far, the Republicans have been giving a nice performance. A nonprofit organization, “Project Vote” recently carried out a few surveys concerning the voting trend during current electoral runs. They found out that the turnout by pro-Democratic blocs has significantly dropped as compared to the last time in 2008.

All those Latinos, African and Asian Americans, and especially the younger generation seem to be going for Republicans, while indicating signs of early victory for them. Most of these trends are not that different IF compared to the presidential elections. Because presidential elections are a different game on a totally different platform, there’s an uneven voting trend during those times.

Anyways, there were 38% of the eligible voters who didn’t even cast any votes. They just sat there on the couch, while watching Republicans and Democrats jab each other to death. As compared to the 2008 voting scenario, take a look at the following voting trend for this year:

• African Americans were down by 43%
• Young voters’ number dropped by a hefty 55%
• 40% of the Hispanics didn’t show up at all

Whatever little was left of the voters; it favored the would-be Republican Senators more than the Democrats. For instance, this year oversaw 41% voters who directly supported the Tea Partiers, while 49% of the women casted votes in favor of the Republicans.
