Stupak is one of the famous Michigan pro-life Democrats, but more importantly, a target of Tea party movements.

Let’s hear out what Stupak had to say against an unexpected retirement and legislations against him:

“I have been serving in the U.S House of Representatives for more than 18 years and I needed to spend more time with my family. Retirement is a good move at this stage of my life and frankly, I believe that I wasn’t removed due to Tea Party movements. People just wasted their precious bucks in creating useless Ads against me.”

Members of the Tea Party Express have been successfully coming up with slogans like

• Go Home Stupak
• Benedict Stupak
• Stop Spending – Stop Tyranny

Seriously, the unemployment rate has been pretty high in Michigan and areas around it. Tea Party activists have planned a cross country, 40+ city bus tour where they will include 11 rallies across the state. This has all been intended for creating self awareness among people and to diminish unemployment issues in the long run.

Famous faces like, Paul Neumeier (of Escanaba) believe that Stupak was left with no other option. More like a “Damned if you go for it and Damned if you don’t go for it” situation, Stupak, did what he had to do.

According to John Fund, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal as well as a political commentator, the Democrats were quite nervous by the results from the November 3 election. In a November 2009 forum, Fund told a crowd of people that when the liberals lose elections, they tend to change the rules.

Fund has stated that the Democrats are making plans to manipulate the electoral process by beginning a federal mandate that will result in millions of people being involuntarily registered to vote. The implementation of this system will leave the elections wide open for unbelievable abuse and fraud. This system is expected to be ready for introduction into this year’s elections.

According to Fund, Democrat Senator Charles Schumer of New York and Democratic Representative John Conyers of Michigan plan to introduce the legislation for universal voter registration. This will most likely take place within a few weeks. Fund says that Schumer will definitely be introducing a bill but it is not yet public. However, Schumer’s involvement was confirmed by a congressional staffer.

The staffer issued a statement saying that groups advocating the universal voter registration idea have said they have been working with Senator Schumer’s office in creating a bill for this since last spring. While the timing is not definite as to when he will introduce the bill, it has been said that it will happen in the near future. Schumer has been described as the point person involving this bill.

Even though this statement was issued publically, neither Schumer’s nor Conyers’ office have returned calls and emails requesting a comment.
