Three longtime Republican senators are targeted by the Tea Party because of their good working relationship with Democrats. They are Richard Lugar of Indiana, Orrin Hatch of Utah and Olympia Snowe of Maine.

The Tea Party is seen as one of the reasons why the Republicans took majority of the seats in last fall’s congressional elections. Republicans who are for budget cuts and limited government won a position in the House and Senate. Now the Tea Party is targeting Republicans who will seek re-election next year.

In Indiana, the Tea Party is planning to support a candidate that will run against Lugar in the primary. In Maine, there are talks of Snowe Removal as early as now. In Utah, Senator Hatch is trying to woo the Tea Party but junior senator Mike Lee stated that he wouldn’t endorse Hatch for re-election.

Senator Lugar told the Tea Party to make a reality check if they want to tackle the nuclear arms reduction treaty. They pointed out the incumbent senator’s support for President Obama’s Supreme Court nominees and the administration’s DREAM act.

Senator Hatch seems to be courting the Tea Party by attending their events and starting to sound more loyal to the party than he was in his six terms in the Senate.

The Tea Party disapproved Senator Snowe’s support for the Supreme Court nominations of Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. But Snowe would probably get the backing of Governor LePage, who considers the Senator’s late husband as his mentor.

All hail President Obama for notching it up on the nuclear weapon policies. That’s the only good thing that ever came out during his regime. The President said that those Republican senators, who’re in favor of repenting the START Missile notification program, are primarily abandoning the Ronald Reagan’s nuclear disarmament policies.

The President has been bish-bashing the Republicans lately by using his Soapbox from the NATO summit. Saturday oversaw a verbal close quarter combat situation because Republicans are ratifying against the President’s stand out foreign policy “achievements”.

Mr. Obama, during his regular Saturday radio addresses, turned the tide against the Republican senators by saying that they were all turning their backs against the world without nuclear weapons vision. Something that President Reagan always used to take pride in. according to the U.S. President, the Reps are balking at ratifying a new nuclear arms reduction treaty with Russia.

Last April, President Medvedev and Obama signed the nuclear weapons treaty. It still requires support from the Republican camps, that’s why the issue is still open and waiting for an effective decision. If this rate continues, the Treaty will definitely expire, just like the old one did, in 2009. U.S. has fairly lost its ability to verify Russian weapon disarmament treaty.

The President was hoping that the new START based agreements will be approved by the Republicans, but there hasn’t been much luck about it. Russia did agree on ramping up its cooperation with NATO on Afghanistan. The Soviet Union will allow more supplies for NATO forces to pass through the territory. It’d be the first time for anyone to oversee a non-lethal weapons embargo to leave Afghanistan through the Russian region exit.
