Arizonians Uniting to Counter-Boycott California – Arizona Immigration
Remember when few weeks ago West Hollywood and Oakland decided to boycott Arizona? Well it seems as though the plan has backfired and Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce(pictured) is threatening to stop providing 25% of LA’s electricity.
What most liberals and democrats do not know, is that Arizona currently provides 25% of our electricity. Yes the evil Conservative Arizona state helps her Liberal sister who is in dire need of electricity. What did we decide to do? we decided to stab them in the back without thinking of the consequences.
Gary Pierce is saying that he will gladly cut the electricity source to California if this silly boycott doesn’t stop. If California thinks they can hurt Arizona, they better reconsider and possibly have a change of heart if we want to have Air Conditioning come this summer.
I have been a resident of LA for a long time and not planning on leaving anytime soon. I also support Arizona implementing a federal law that for one has been in place for years. I have family in Arizona and have seen the problem first hand when visiting family down there. What we as Californians need to do is help our neighboring state and support them in their efforts instead of throwing stones. Arizona’s new law is not racists I don’t care how you look at it. A country without borders is really a “no man’s land” but we are Americans and this is America. We have laws and expect everyone to follow the simple rules. That includes everyone regardless of their race or skin color.
I will be the first Californian to say that I stand with Arizona and support Arizona! Show your support for Arizona bellow in the comment area.

I have boycotted Arizona for being racist
First of all, as a former 45 year Arizona in response to Mr. Stern’s ignorance, this “new” law is not a new one at all – since “national origin” profiling was routinely done in Arizona (and California, for that matter) prior to the Reagan amnesty – since both states do border a foreign country, after all.
But this law was written to feed the criminal and immigration lawyers in this country, it appears, or to further expand “foreigners” rights under our Bill of Rights that was actually meant to protect Americans from foreigners also, after all.
And the Civil Rights Act of 1964 actually had to do with providing equal opportunity to American minorities, not foreigners – since prior to that amnesty all illegals picked up for minor offenses were simply turned over to the U.S. Marshall’s office and they were bused back every Saturday after making their one call for a pickup.
And felony offenders were prosecuted in the correct court, the federal courts, as committing “crimes against the nation” and not the state at all since they were accused of criminal offenses against the American people.
This law will now provide those illegals with access to BOTH the federal and state courts, thus costing the public double – so this was a feeder statute for the lawyers, and nothing more since those politicos in Arizona get most of their campaign funding from the lawyer lobbying groups, as is the case in every state and federal election throughout the country, in one form or another.
Which is why over 2/3rds the American people cannot afford their services any longer since they have also priced themselves out of the market – or are getting paid through all those lawyer friendly statutes and laws they have progressively written for themselves at the public’s offence.
Civil rights lawyers don’t make any money unless someone’s civil rights are violated – which is what this law was meant to insure – a steady stream of revenue for the lawyers.
Why should illegal aliens of any nationality be excused? Break the law…you’re out! My parents had to become citizens the legal way like most of the US citizens from other countries. Charging Arizona with racism is only a convenient but inaccurate slam.Gives an opportunity to the hot tempered ones to feel good to mouth off because they have had to live in silence for so long…why? Because they are illegally here! Got an American education? Go home and educate and contribute to your own country and apply to live here like everyone else!I am furious that the attitude has become if you are Latino you are some how entitled and above the law. I am a Democrat who supports the law…thus I support Arizona on this one.
I love Arizona for backing up existing law, if that is racist then so are most Americans. If you want to come enjoy America then do it legally like the rest of the world does, otherwise stay the hell out, your not wanted here.

I am happy to see Gary Pierce take this stand. Many people who are against Arizona’s law haven’t even read the law! My dad used to say, “If you haven’t walked in a man’s shoes, don’t be critical of him.” So before you criticize Arizona, go down there and live with the ranchers that are being killed by the illegals.
I am a conservative Californian and I visit and conduct business in Arizona at least 4 times per year. I do not support the foolish and childlike boycott of the great state of Arizona. All of this talk and nonsense angers me greatly especially the irresponsible actions of the LA city council…you are all friggin idiots, get back to work and start finding solutions to our own problems. As a jesture of support I plan on extending my annual trip to the Colorado river near Parker, Az from 5 days to 14 days.

It’s amazing US citizens need pass ports to go/return from Mexico, yet two US States are fighting over illegal immigration. What’s the fight for? What’s the point in having BORDERS if we’re not going to enforce them? And If mexican immigration is allowed, why not for any other immigrants? What’s so special about mexicans? Al M. is right. If Arizona shuts off electricity to California, then California can shut off the petroleum products going to Arizona. Some in AZ may remember the pipeline failure fiasco in 2003. That was a pipeline from Calif. that failed. And, there’ not enough tanker & other pipeline capacity to keep fuel prices in AZ under control in that case.

Ca owns a very small portion of the powet plants that send electricity to CA. Contracts are in place but if worse comes to worse and CA does not quit being stupid then AZ will stop sending power to them. Now that I think about it, CA has already went back on their “boycott” because they are still buying electricity from AZ..

I am from California, Voted for Obama and I am moderate on most things…except this. I will be boycotting the city I live near (San Francisco) and canceled plans for the Los Angeles area. If I go anywhere over the next year, it will be to Arizona, a state I have visited and enjoyed in the past.

I live in Washington State, and the idiots in Seattle have also voted for this. Same issue as S.F. and L.A., the Governments of these cities are so far out of touch with their own reality, that they are trying to put the focus on something else. I vote to stop sending all hydroelectric power from Washington state to California. I can guarantee you it is a lot more than 25% percent of their power needs.

I have read many of the comments above. I agree greatly with those in favor of the Arizona laws. Those who oppose it have obviously not come into direct contact with the fallout caused by so many illegal immigrants floding the job market. I am a house painter in Ga. Many of us cannot find work because the illegals underbid us on all our jobs. We go in make a bid and the Mexicans take the jobs. Cheap labor no taxes….and so forth. When you face wondering how you are gonna feed your children because you cant find work in your own country then it all becomes very real. Many of you say well lower your prices……well that makes perfect sense….not when they work for what we would pay in taxes……wait till it touches your life like it has mine and then see how much boycotting you do!

If all of these Californians love illegal immigrants so much, Arizona should put all of the illegals on buses and drive them to LA or SF and drop them off. Arizona should offer this free bus service to California on a daily basis. We will see California’s attitude change very quickly
