President Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama Had Short Vacations
The last time US President Barack Obama was here, he complained that he didn’t get enough time to play Golf (but he did manage to play some, during the funeral of former Polish President. After all, Obama didn’t show up). After a bit of scheduling, President Obama and the first lady Michelle Obama finally made it to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a private weekend.
During his last stay in Asheville, President Obama called it a spectacular place. This time, his intentions were focused and he decided not to take/make any calls on any sort of debates over the financial reform bill.
Even though President Obama is finally back on the Golf course, he still has a keen eye on political activities. Since Jimmy Carter, Obama was the first presidential candidate (Democrats), to win North Carolina. And it is mainly because of the supporters and volunteers from South Carolina, who persuaded people of North Carolina, in favor of Obama.
No doubt, Asheville is a breathtaking place to be in and it has over 73,000 residents. In addition, Asheville is also home to the famous Vanderbilt family’s Baltimore Estate, along with a huge collection of those art galleries and magnificent restaurants.
According to sources from The White House, President Obama doesn’t have any major plans for public gatherings. But he will speak at Sunday’s memorial in Beckley, about the worst coal mine disaster in the past 40 years. The recent Massey Energy’s Upper – Big Branch Mine, took 29 lives and this was indeed a huge risk for all the families of those poor victims.

They are the best. We have the best President and First Lady. You all have to admit this. They promote unity and love. All of the things, God want us to be. We all need to take time out and smell the roses.
I feel for the President and First lady yet I myself had no vacation since Mr. Obama was elected. His “stimulous” plan has cased me to work constantly with overtime to even meet mortgage payments and vehicle payments. The President may not have raised Federal taxes for most of us however he has caused states to raise their taxes making the burden on most of us even greater than previous years!
THE WHOLE FAMILY CAME BUT THEY TOOK OTHER PLANE SO THERE MOM AND DAD WILL HAVE SPEAD TIME TOGETHER.

Well, i do agree to the first few lines u were talkin about. But fact is a fact, maybe the President could have taken a low level flight to Europe. Okay what if he cudnt make it for the Funeral, he could have shown up a few days later i think. anyways, we are not aware of the things which go on inside and we are made to believe whatever;s on tv and in the papers. So lets keep ourselves unbiased
So President Obama was suppose to hop into Air Force 1 and fly on over to the Polish President’s funeral. President Obama had a good reason for not attending that funeral. And I don’t see anything wrong with him playing alittle bit of golf. You people are full of alot of crap.
Vacation, yes, but it is not culturally sensitive to play golf while funeral goes on which President Obama was planing to attend in the first place. OK, volcano eruption, he was not able to attend it, understandable.
But the day of the funeral was also official day of mourning in some countries in Europe.I am not saying that he should watch the life transmission of the funeral, but golf? kind of tasteless, and Polish people are quite upset about it. Are there no people for cultural brockering to help politicians? This is like slap on the face of a nation which was mourning. Sorry to say it, but it was a faux pas.Playing golf shows lack of respect.
