Mitt Romney, the GOP presidential nominee who lost to President Barack Obama last November will give a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in March. The conference is a gathering of activists that is held annually. The appearance of Romney at the CPAC will be his first big speech since he lost the race for the White House to Obama.

Last February, Romney told the same CPAC group that he was a Republican governor who was severely conservative, despite being from Massachusetts. At that time, Romney was amidst a battle for the Republican nomination with Rick Santorum. Santorum had just defeated the former governor of Massachusetts in Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota.

Since the November 6 election, Romney has not given any major speech. He has attended social events in Washington, including having lunch with his donors and rejoined the board of directors at Marriott. The CPAC conference will be held March 14-16 outside Washington.

Romney, in a statement the CPAC released, said he looked forward to giving thanks to his many supporters and friends who played an instrumental part in his campaign.

The chairman of the group that organizes the CPAC, the American Conservative Union, said in a prepared statement that the group was interested to hear Romney’s comments about the current state of the country and the rest of the world and his perspective on the conservative movement’s future in America.

Also appearing at the event will be Jeb Bush the former governor of Florida along with over a dozen other top Republicans including Alaska’s former governor Sarah Palin.
