Why it matters

OptimistFi's case is that Eaton turns steady demand into revenue, cash and shareholder returns, and this filing strengthens that view. Net sales rose 10.3% year over year, a $2.57 billion gain from the 2024 base. Net income and operating cash flow also moved higher. Cash from operations of $4.47 billion covered the $1.63 billion of dividends and the $1.86 billion of share repurchases.

The caveat is that $1.49 billion of cash went to business acquisitions, and investing activities used $1.10 billion of cash overall. The Mobility spin-off means part of the change comes from portfolio moves, not only operating execution. The year therefore mixes growth with capital deployment.

What's next

Eaton said its 2025 TRCR will be provided in its annual Sustainability Report to be issued in 2026. That report is the next scheduled check on whether safety execution kept pace with growth. A 2025 TRCR below the 2024 level of 0.39 would support the case, while a higher reading would undercut it. The report will also show whether the company kept moving toward its 2030 target of 0.25.
