Why it matters
OptimistFi's case is that Honeywell turns engineered, mission-critical products and long-lived installed bases into recurring, high-margin service and software revenue that generates steady operating cash flow and funds shareholder returns.
This filing strengthens that case. The quarter had 7% organic sales growth, higher margins and a higher full-year outlook for organic revenue, adjusted EPS and free cash flow.
Sales rose $65 million from a year earlier. Adjusted EPS rose $0.57, and free cash flow rose $89 million.
Management now expects full-year sales of $20.0 billion to $20.1 billion, organic growth of 4% to 5%, segment margin of about 20.5%, and adjusted EPS of $8.40 to $8.45.
It also expects operating cash flow and free cash flow of $2.1 billion each. That points to more than a one-quarter beat.
The counterpoint is that reported EPS fell 20% to $2.40 and operating cash flow fell 74% to $607 million.
The release says both comparisons were affected by one-time items from the prior year's Resideo termination agreement.

What's next
Honeywell said it will discuss the third-quarter results and full-year 2026 guidance on an investor conference call starting at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time today.
A call that confirms the higher sales, adjusted EPS and free cash flow ranges would support the case.
If management points to softer organic growth or weaker cash conversion, the improvement would look less durable.
