Does CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) Forge Diversify Revenue?

What happened

CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) launched Forge on September 30. The product puts AI training, inference, evaluation and agent development in one environment while remaining open to outside models, frameworks and clouds.

The release names MasterClass and Canva as companies already building with Forge. That is useful product evidence, but it includes no contract values, customer spending, product revenue or adoption target.

Why it matters

The strongest case for diversification is that Forge can pull more of a customer's AI workflow onto CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV). A broader software layer could attract users beyond frontier-model labs, raise switching costs and make the platform more than rented graphics-processing capacity.

The current numbers do not prove that result. In the second quarter, three customers generated 36%, 26% and 10% of revenue. Together, that is 72%. Every other customer combined generated 28%, so the top three produced 2.57 times as much revenue as the rest.

There is real improvement inside that figure. One customer represented 71% of revenue a year earlier, versus 36% for the largest customer this quarter. But replacing one dominant customer with three large customers is not the same as showing a broadly diversified base.

Forge may still matter economically. CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) reported that 98% of second-quarter revenue came from committed contracts and that remaining performance obligations reached $103.7 billion. Software that attaches to those relationships could deepen them. The filing, however, does not separate Forge revenue, margins or customer mix.

That distinction matters for the stock. A credible product launch supports the business case. It does not by itself establish lower concentration, better margins or an attractive return on the capital funding the platform.

What's next

The next test is CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV)'s third-quarter filing. A top-three share below 72% alongside sustained growth and margins would support diversification. Named Forge contracts, product revenue or margin disclosure would make the software claim more measurable.

For now, the answer is unresolved. Forge strengthens the platform story, but it does not yet show that CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) has diversified the revenue supporting that story.
